Brad is an entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in the fields of computer graphics, electro-optics, supercomputers, retail technology, climate crisis science, and sustainability engineering. He is also the founder of the Sustainable Sikkim Initiative, a climate advocacy and educational outreach program. Mr. Reddersen has a B.S. in Physics, and M.S. in Optical Engineering and advanced education in computer science, climate science and electrical engineering. He is an inventor with over 30 U.S. patents, and is the author of papers in climate science, geopolitics, technology, and strategy. He has written extensively about the climate crisis, including The Sustainable Sikkim Guide to the Climate Crisis guidebook
Research Scholar, Climate Science
Matrika is a Climate Research Scholar currently in the PhD program at IIT Bombay, located in Mumbai, India. There she is pursuing studies in the fields of climate action and sustainable development goals. Her research interests are in Climate Justice, Energy, Environment and Systems Thinking. Besides her current IIT Program Ph.D. program activities, Ms. Ghimiray also holds the degrees of M.Tech in Energy Technology, from the National Institute of Technology in Hamirpur, H.P., India, and B.E. in Electrical Engineering, from Basaveshwar Engineering College in Karnataka, India, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of energy usage and its full climate impacts.
Senior Research Scientist, Algae Solutions
Dr. Simrat Kaur is a Senior Research Scientist specializing in applications of algae for everything from wastewater treatment to biofuel development, aquaponics, and more. Her background includes post-doctoral research at Le Mans Universite in France; as an Algae Scientist at Texasta, Inc., in Texas; as a Technical Manager and Microalgal biotechnologist at Algae Health, SME, Ireland; as a Research Scholar and Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO); and at India’s Ministry of Defence. She holds a Ph.D. in Botany & Plant Science, National University of Ireland. She holds a Ph.D. in Botany & Plant Science, National University of Ireland, M. Phil and M. Sc. in Botany from Delhi University, and a B.Sc. in Botany from Venkateswara College, Delhi University.
Microbiologist
Fatema Diwan is a microbiologist. She has over ten years' background in advanced biological research, including extensive experience with microbial fermentation and molecular biology. Prior to joining the New Kalapa Tech Park and Climate Survival Solutions' engineering teams, she worked as a QC microbiologist in the medical device industry. She holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Microbiology.
Senior Systems Engineer
Ruchie Custan is a senior systems engineer supporting a variety of projects for the company. After graduation, Mr. Custan has worked with a variety of both large and small organizations which have provided him a wide range of skills. These range from microcontroller design, advanced sensor systems, and advanced environmental applications for sustainability and more. He is currently based in British Columbia, Canada.
Architect
Oscar Anchondo is an Architect graduated from the University of Sonora with 17 years of experience designing and executing projects from conceptualization to construction. He divides his time between Hermosillo, Mexico and Arizona. He holds a Masters in Architectural Visualization and has advanced 3D modeling and animation skills.
Urban Planner
Sanjoli Johan Sha is responsible on behalf of Climate Survival Solutions for analyzing the impacts on urban habitats from changing socio-economic, sustainability and climate conditions, with the goal of recommending strategies to help humanity and nature alike to survive as the world changes around us. Her recent research Prior to joining CSSI, she interned at the Observer Research Foundation, one of India’s largest think tanks, where she contributed to a monograph on the Hindu Kush Himalayas. Ms. Shah holds a B.Sc in Geography from Amity University in Kolkata, India. She is currently pursuing a MSc degree in Environment and Sustainable Development from University College London (UCL).
Clinical Psychologist
Francisco Escalante is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience in various fields. He has worked as a psychologist, a support teacher in basic education, a high school teacher in the humanities area, a health promoter, and a counselor for young people in vulnerable situations. In addition, he has been a university professor and has ventured into creating stories for children and youth, as well as writing chronicles and articles on various topics.
